Ive had problems with the sound bar. When ive turned the TV on the sound would not come on. I would unplugged the TV and wait. Plug it back in and it would work but it would happen again

Exactly what I wanted in a soundbar and at a very good price. An extreme improvement over the internal TV speakers. Set up was easy mounting instructions were easy to follow. Subwoofer adds the right amount of bass without overpowering the highs or shaking the room unnecessarily.

We bought this sound bar as the length was longer which visually looks better with our new 75 LG tv. We like that we can use one remote but the sound seems weak. We need to do some research to see if there is an option to improve the sound.

My soundbar worked fine for 10 months but then it just started doing things like having no sound working at max volume etc. Ive spent way too long and too many times with customer service trying to fix the issue and finally Im at a point where I have to ship it to them and possibly wait for another month for it to be resolved. Im a few weeks out from my warranty being finished and they need to stop dragging their feet.

I have used older models of soundbar from LG. The bass quality was way better. I enjoy the thrill from watching movies playing songs as well. But this one right here you have to increase the volume to a high level to feel any impact at all. Not so cool as no one loves noise

The sound bar and subwoofer never worked. We tried to troubleshoot the problem and after several hours gave up. Then we called customer support and spent an hour and a half turning it on and off and unplugging things in different orders. The customer service guy was supposed to send us a label to ship it back for repair and we have yet to see it in the mail or email. It is still sitting in the living room pretending to look like a brand new sound system. At least the LG TV has decent sound I just hope it doesnt crap the bed....

Ive had this for two months attached to an LG 4K TV and the sound is a big improvement. Its 3 channel 3.1 I guess so its not the maximum available but does sound good.

Matched the soundbar to an LG Oled C1 48 tv. The soundbar worked for an hour and then reverted back to tv sound. I called LG for assistance. No one could help me. I spoke to 4 different tech reps. I tried everything but could not get the tv to stay connected to the soundbar. I have since retuned the soundbar.

Recently purchased my S65Q. I brought this so I wouldnt have any comparability issues with my LG tv which I brought early this year. Super easy to setup with all the cables included. Sound has a center speaker to enhance speech especially for movies. Certainly a material improvement from the tv speakers Overall the sound bar sounds fine for my needs and price level. The bass could be a little better but its fine for my taste. The remote control although does not have any written description was easy to figure out. You can also download the instruction not included from LGs website. Overall I pretty happy with my purchase

Way too hard....and too frustrating

Bought the sound bar read through the simple abbreviated instructions and thought what a breeze sadly over 2 hours later not at all true. Maybe I simply have a bad remote as in it doesnt work but I cant really tell that at all. I can power it on/off manually and change the volume manually but the remote doesnt work- not what I bargained for. Every time I connect it on the super-duper app on the phone it blows up the sound settings on the TV itself and removes the settings I had on the cable remote to control the sound. This is way to hard to get set up properly...No way that I found to see sound bar settings on the TV...no display at all. One giant mysterious thing.

I was considering going with a true surround sound system but decided that I didnt want to hassle with fishing the wires and such so I went with the S65Q sound bar with subwoofer. For watching tv its great. Not so much for using it to listen to music. Its not TERRIBLE but its definitely not high fidelity....very mono sounding. I actually bought two of these and the sound bar that is closer to the bottom of the tv sounds a lot better than the one in our bedroom with sits about 15 below the tv. The unit came with mounting hardware to mount it to the wall closer to the bottom of the tv but I threw them away not thinking that I would need them. My battle plan is to buy some new mounting hardware and to mount the speaker directly below the tv and Im hoping that it sounds better. But thats not really on the unit...so I wouldnt hold this against it. Overall especially for the price that I paid for it I would definitely buy one of these again if I needed an additional sound bar.

Why does the display stay on?

Its a decent sound bar for the price but it has one glaring issue. The input display which is not centered is constantly on. There is no way to turn it off. This stick out like a sore thumb especially at night. This could easily be solved with a simple software update. Will likely return it if it isnt updated by my return by date.
