I have had GE appliances in past but this is what my builder partnered with for their appliances so I went with them. I am constantly going out to my garage to turn off the circuit breaker after each use because. I wipe it down and that trips an error message so I have to go to the garage to the circuit breaker to turn off the error. I have tried locking it and that doesn™€™t help. Read reviews and others have said the same thing. Unless you want to go to your circuit breaker on a regular basis, this will be right for you. I am disappointed in this product and would not recommend.

We outfitter our entire kitchen with Electrolux appliances 12 years ago. Each appliance has its own disappointing issues. My induction cooktop only has three "burners" working. I've had two techs try to fix it and it really needs to be replaced. The double oven comes to temp so slowly (20-25 mins for 400) The trip on shelving in the refridgerator has broken and look terrible. The crisper drawer broke. I should have spent a few hundred more and bought the Bosch. I stilllove the look, but, the performance has been the worst of ANY appliances we have ever owned.

Cooking performance is excellent, but controls less so. Unlike my previous Wave Touch range, where a touch of th range top lit up all of the burner start keys, this model does not light up the burner control keys until you ignite a burner by finding the black ON key on a black background. Makes it slow to operate the range.

Submitted by Kbarkley - 10/12/2018

I purchased my cooktop 15 months ago and it stopped functioning last week. I™€™m chose Electrolux because I assumed that the brand stood for quality. I learned my lesson and will avoid the Electrolux brand going forward.

Such quick heat cycles. Beeps to let you know what you have done. Made me have to buy better cookware because pots and pans need to be able to cook evenly.

Stunning Design and Performance

Submitted by oli240 - 8/29/2017

I bought this stovetop as a replacement for an older model Electrolux stovetop, and I must say this stovetop does not disappoint in the least. The design is beautiful, fit right into the cutout area I had already made from the previous stovetop, and it works like a champ. I would highly recommend Electrolux to anyone wanting to buy a professional, high quality cooktop!

Great for Cooking but Some Design Issues

Submitted by Jayy - 7/23/2017

Purchased three months ago and there is a lot to like but a few flaws. Pros:-Great temperature control and heat distribution with a good distribution of burners. I love having the largest burner in the front so steam can escape more easily.-All inductions cause a humming or buzzing in the pots but this is quieter than any other induction I have used.-It is a small thing but the beeps on the controls are not very loud and softer in tone. My old cooktop was so loud and harsh it would wake people.Cons:-You can't see the controls until they light up. I always have to poke around a bit with my finger to find them. Once lit they very nice.-The stainless steel edge will get scuffed and scratched. I wanted the edgeless but was told it is no longer available.

I have been using this cooktop for the last 3 months and I totally have liked it. Its amazing how fast things get cooked, and that is very easy to clean after cooking is done. I liked the stainless still border, it makes it look very sleek and stylish, I totally am happy with the look it gives to my kitchen, I totally recommend it.

Broken. Idiotic "display" of controls

Submitted by John739 - 5/19/2017

Absolutely disgusted with this cooktop. First, the digital controls in the glass hardly show up and you have to have the right light and viewing angle to even see them. Secondly, one burner never worked from the outset. Repairman (under warranty) has been here twice with weeks between visits and still doesn't have it working. What a huge mistake this purchase was.YOU CAN'T EVEN SEE HOW TO TURN IT ON OR TURN THE BURNERS ON.Unbelievable!

This is a replacement induction cooktop. So glad I chose Electrolux this time. This cooktop is much more attractive than my old brand. And I love the new features! I've had it less than a month so I hope it works for many, many years.

Sleek, Clean, and Functional

Submitted by TMOB - 12/16/2016

I have only had the cooktop for a month, but I am impressed with how responsive the stove is when cooking my favorite foods. I have used my stainless steel pans as well as my cast iron pans to cook my meals. Cleaning this cooktop is very easy. My old electric cooktop would cook spilled food directly onto the cooktop making it very hard to clean.

Awesome but...

Submitted by Jose m - 8/15/2016

We've had this cooktop for a month and love it. Simple to operate, wave touch looks and functions perfectly. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the stainless steel bezel around cooktop makes it easy for debris to get wedged under it. Slight design flaw and not a big deal if you're neurotic about cleaning

I'm hoping it's a learning curve because right now I'd return it if I could. Way too touchy. If I add spaghetti to the water so there is more weight, it shuts off and has to cool down before I can restart. Change temp, same thing. Even if I don't touch the pan.

Less than 2 years and broken

Submitted by Michael N - 3/14/2016

Bought the 30" model right at two years ago and the back right burner has stopped working and blew smoke at one point from the exhaust. I expect my appliances to break at some point but not within 2 years. On a less important note, it is hard to read the lettering if the cooktop is at all dirty. The lettering and lines for pots could be more pronounced so I don't have to be Martha Stewart clean all the time.

I have the 30 inch induction cooktop, within 6 months of buying it a 1/4" long crack developed in the center of one of the burners. Electrolux came out to look and tell me, the glass top does not have ANY warranty, only electrical components

Induction cooktop

Submitted by Stephanie - 12/20/2014

If your only cooking source is electric than a must have for your kitchen is the Electrolux induction cooktop.  Induction heat cooks exactly like a gas stove.  You can get down to the lowest simmer without ever worrying about overcooked recipes or sauces.  Never over cook an egg again.  It is one of the best on the market and also a fraction of the cost of Thermador.  This is my second Electrolux induction cooktop.  Sadly I had to leave my old one in the house I sold.

He bit too shiny

Submitted by Veganeyes - 11/17/2014

In general, I love this cooktop. It looks great in my kitchen and the controls are really slick to use. It goes without saying that induction is the way to go. The only problem is that the black surface is very shiny. Consequently, it shows every fingerprint and smudge. After I wipe it down with the sponge I have to dry it with a towel to keep it from spotting. The controls are also a bit hard to see and can get covered up with fingerprints, and/or lost in the reflection of the kitchen lights. It took me a week or so to get used to this, but it's not a huge deal anymore. All the same, it would've been better if they had designed it with a matte finish.

Cannot tolerate a spill

Submitted by JGBellingham - 12/31/2012

When this cooktop works, it is great. However, it is very susceptible to spills. Basically, it is not water tight, and the electronics are right under the stovetop. The induction brings pots to a boil so quickly that the uninitiated (e.g. a helpful guest) are almost sure to let spaghetti pasta (for example) boil over, dumping a fair bit of water on the stove surface. This has happened to us twice, the first under warranty, the second not. Both cause the stove to stop working (E flashing on the burner displays and the counter going nuts). The first time it took three service calls before the stove worked again. We are just starting the second round, and I am debating whether to simply replace the top with something that is not shorted out by a minor cooking debacle.
