I bought the machine to replace a Samsung machine I had for less than a year that was a total nightmare. GE although expensive is a trusted brand and the reviews for this machine were good. Excellent washer with a unique exclusive partnership with Microban (the people that manufacture and install baby changing stations in public bathrooms). Microban is used in the washer front assembly, the detergent dispenser, and the hoses in the back. This system is designed to keep the washer dry while preventing mold and mildew. The door even has vents where a fan can blow air through to keep the washer dry. That's not all. It even has a multi-load dispenser that can hold enough detergent (HE) for up to 50+ loads by weighing the amount of the wash, how soiled the wash is, and adding the right amount of water and detergent for premium cleaning. Great washer, many features but the vent fan is very noisy. Not sure if defective or just normal sound. Also can run for hours without stopping. Maybe manual will show how to adjust vent time. Reversible door are a huge plus as was needed in my configuration

I love this washer! I purchased it new from Home Depot and it's fully functional + does a great job washing. The only issue is it makes an annoying high pitched whining sound during the spin cycle. I considered returning it, but then thought it might go away over time. It's been about 3 months and it appears to have lessoned, but it's still there and it drives me crazy. Not sure what to do now.

Main Control Board Broke After Only 3 Months!

I hated having to replace my 25 year old machine. I was afraid I wouldn't find anything that worked as well. This washer is noticeable better than my old washer. Clothes are cleaner and smell fresher. The feature it has that I didn't even know about was the ability to change the direction the door opens. This feature alone would have sold it to me. I didn't think I would use the dispenser to fill with detergent, I tried it and it's great! No waste, of detergent. The vent cycle to dry machine is great! No more, smelly machine. Great for my comforters, blankets...wash well with enough space to do a thorough clean & spin dry. However, the app does not communicate well with our internet in this area. The washer continued to run prolonged cycles without completing the spin dry cycle. Once I logged out of app the washer went back to a complete cycle. Love features, size & color!!!

The extra features like fill up big dispenser and go, quiet, light for inside drum is handy and more are great. My only complaint is when you do a small load doesn't completely dry.
