You get what you pay for. We are remodeling our house and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for appliances so we bought the cheapest. It works fine, looks good, but it feels so 'low'...when you open the door and lower it and reach in to pull bottom rack out, it feels like you're a giant reaching down SO low...just feels weird..and I'm not all that tall. Don't like that there is not a button to push to release the door..you just pull and it feels like you're gonna pull the dishwasher out..even tough it's secured to cabinets. Overall...it's good...like I said..you get what you pay for and I paid for basic.

Has the features I need to wash dishes. Noticeably quieter than our last washer. Cleanable filter if I need to. Does a great job cleaning anything we put in it. The plastic did have a strong smell but, I ran it a few times empty and the smell went away.

So my previous dishwasher was n its last days of life so I decided on the GE dishwasher with front controls. It has worked like a champ. I don't have to prewash my dishes before I load it. And they come out clean everytime. It is very simple with options. The only thing Is when we first opened it up it had a strong plastic smell that took about a week to go away. Other than that it is a great machine.

Very pleased with this simplistic dishwasher, controls are on the front for easy accessibility. Large capacity can fit a 12 piece place setting, or just a small load, has a highly effective heated drying system that gives you completely dry dishes. You can choose your cycle, heavy, normal or one hour wash. Active flood control alerts you before an overflow can occur. Also has a hard food processor that pulverizes and larger pieces of food allowing you to not have to pre rinse. Great quality American made dishwasher.

I received the GE® Dishwasher with Front Controls and it's perfect for our house. It's a perfect size for just me and my husband. Its my first dishwasher and it's great to not have to always wash dishes by hand especially when I spend my weekends cooking and baking. Doesn't take up a lot of room. Gets the dishes very clean. If you need something that's not too big and doesn't have all the bells and whistles this is the perfect dishwasher.

just a simple bare bones gets the job done dishwasher. just review instructions on the amount of detergent to use and have rinse aid in it. harder water requires more detergent and using the heavy cycle strictley (no detergent pods). ignore the normal and 1-hour cycle options if that is your situation like me. also double check drain hose to insure it is ran in a manner recommended by the install instructions.

OK, so I must admit That when I received this, it looked like a cheaper dishwasher. It does not have all the fancy buttons, time delays, options ect I thought for sure it would not perform well. Well guess what! I absolutely love this dishwasher. The shortest cycle is one hour, which I use and which I think is long enough to wash dishes in the dishwasher. It has two water bars inside but boy do they put out some water and get the dishes clean. It was so easy to install. The one question I have for manufacturers of dishwashers is why they put part of the power cord electrical is in the front of the dishwasher instead of the back. Where I live it is extremely hard to find long power cord that will work. Other than that I absolutely love it!

Good Simple Dishwasher

I have had this dishwasher for two weeks now and so far it seems to work really good. It is a basic dishwasher, does not have all the bells and whistles. It has three simple settings, heavy load, normal and one hour, and a start button. There have been a few instances that it didn't clean my utensils to my liking. But to be fair, the spatula is plastic and had dried eggs on it from making an omelette. I have had a few knives that have had some rust looking spots on them after washing but I have heard dishwashers will do that to knives. The door does not stay open if you want to crack it open a little too help the dishes dry. Not sure if this is an installation issue because I know the installers set the front legs higher up than the back ones. I have been using a chip clip to prop it open. I will adjust the legs to see if it helps. The first load I did I only had the detergent and there were a few spots left on my cups. The second load I bought the rinse aid and it really helps with the spots and drying the dishes faster. The outside is not fingerprint resistant, but they do wash off fairly easy. The bottom drawer rack tends to come off track easily. It could be operator error, I need more practice. It runs quietly, not very noisy. Overall, I think this is a great basic, simple dishwasher.

I used this dishwasher to replace an older model which still had a dial. I absolutely blown away! It's so quiet I can't even tell it's running! It's extremely spacious. Plenty of room for silverware which has always been an issue for our family. Plenty of room for everything including casserole dishes! It's super pretty too! This is a great dishwasher for the price! When it is washing dishes it is quiet and the dishes come out clean. The heated dry option works great! No need to set the dishes in the counter to dry after washing. The only thing I would change is the door. I wish it was more sturdy when opening and closing. The buttons on the front are very convenient and work great. The silverware holder is a perfect size. The stainless steel front stays clean and matches the rest of our stainless steel appliances. This is a must buy for the price.

I love that this has a water leak sensor so that should a leak ever happen, the alarm stops the load and turns off the cycle so there won't be flooding. I've used this dishwasher for two weeks.. it's a great basic functioning dishwasher. It has three cycles: regular, heavy duty, and 1 hour wash. It has a dry boost that will get my dishes mostly dry. Glassware dries spotless, but sometimes my plastic bowls don't get all the way dry. There are 2 racks and a utensil tray. The racks pull out a little tougher than my old dishwasher. There is supposed to be a leak detector to prevent flooding. I would recommend this dishwasher to anyone who wants a basic functioning dishwasher.

Perfectly simple

I wanted a dishwasher is with simple functions- just wash the dishes. I didn't want all the "bells and whistles"- I just wanted something that works! And I found it with this GE dishwasher with front controls. Seriously simple with three functions for washing heavy, normal, and 1 hour. This simple machine is a powerhouse. I put it to the test with the dirtiest dishes I had and it performed excellent. I also like how the top rack is higher allowing for large pans and tall utensils. Other observations: Sound level is average. exterior cleaning is simple with a damp cloth to remove finger prints etc.. I'm not a fan the opening handle though. A little round to open, and the grooved edges on the handle. Overall, it's simple and it works. It's effective and efficient. It was made for me.

Simple, no frills dishwasher

I like my new dishwasher, I just wanted one to get my dishes clean I didn't need or want anything fancy cuz it seems whenever I get something fancy with options I'd never use I usually gave problems with it. This one has enough room for my dishes and it gets them clean with no spots or leftover food stuck on them. I just load my dished in shut the door and press start its not noisy and doesn't take forever to be done. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is cuz I wish the door locked and had a release button you push in to open, it does definitely stay in place, it's just when opening I feel like it's going to pull the dishwasher out and my toddler is able to open it. Other then that I'm very happy with it, it was easy to install and it gets the job done leaving me with one less thing to worry about.

We've been happy with the dishwasher. It checks all the boxes we wanted. It cleans quickly and efficiently. The clean cycle is smooth and quite. I really love how quickly it dries as well. The dishes come out very clean and the food gets disposed of via the food trap in the bottom. It's incredibly energy efficient and quite which is a huge bonus for me! As a mom I just want the dishes to be as quick and painless as possible. The drawers slide in and out smoothly and the inside is always clean with it's almost self cleaning type features. I highly recommend if you're looking for a new dishwasher this is a fantastic and reliable one. It's priced great and it's very aesthetically pleasing!!!

I absolutely love the design of this this dishwasher. Very stylish and simple. Very easy to use. The door is very lightweight and simple to open and shut. So quite when running, I tend to forget that it is running at times. Only complaint I have is that it doesn't get the dishes fully dry, like water sitting on top of cups. But other than that, it is a great dishwasher and overall gets everything clean.

The GE® Dishwasher with Front Controls is a good, basic function dishwasher. It's not super fancy, with all the added functions. However, it is a quality product for a great price. I especially like the sleek look of the stainless steel front. GE makes good, quality appliances which you can trust! I am very happy with this dishwasher!

Best dishwasher I've ever had

I love the he brand so I was so happy to find this and it did not disappoint. I wanted an easy to use and operate dishwasher and this is it. My dishes are spotless and I don't even need to rinse them. It has three cycles, a normal, heavy and a 1 hour wash cycle. It has a cleaning control panel and also has the ultrafresh system with microban antimicrobial technology that keeps the dishwasher so much cleaner. I also love that it has a dry cycle so my dishes come out dry. I absolutely love this brand and this dishwasher.

Modern Tech!

The GE Dishwasher with Front Controls is modern in appearance, superior is cleaning and so quite that I forget I am running it. It looks great in the kitchen. It is so elegant looking and very easy to clean. You can place the utensil basket on either side of the bottom basket, I base it on where my silverware drawer is. I like the way it opens and closes, there is no lever or buttons, you just give it a pull and close it with a little push. The cycles you can choose from are normal, heavy and 1 hour. There are also buttons for the choices of locking the washer so no accident cycles start and a cancel button in case you need that choice. Once the cycle is complete there is a green light that comes on next to the word clean. The most impressive things about this GE Dishwasher is that the dishes are the cleanest I have ever seen them when finished and they are completely dry with no spots on anything. I love this machine, it is definitely the the best dishwasher I have ever owned in my lifetime. Now all my kitchen appliances are GE!

I have really enjoyed doing dishes since getting my new GE dishwasher with front controls. This dishwasher is super quiet so only you know it's running. I also love the silverware compartment being to one side instead of in the middle. Super easy to use & leaves my dishes sparkling. I'd definitely recommend this dishwasher if you're looking for great quality & sleek design.

Was easy to install and the directions for use were great, cleans the dishes wonderfully, and is super quite when running which is a great plus, looks good, was easy to clean the front of the dishwasher off when something got spilled on it.

I was looking for a traditional, basic dishwasher from a trusted brand and did not want extra bells and whistles - just reliable performance to get the job done. I received a GE Dishwasher with Front Controls in exchange for my use and honest review. This model has a larger capacity than some dishwashers of the same size and I have found it very quiet. There is an extra heavy duty cycle that helps dishes come out spotless. The instruction manual is easy to follow and a great reference. The stainless steel door panel is easy to clean. I was looking for a traditional, reliable dishwasher from a trusted brand and did not need all the extra "bells and whistles" - just something to replace a 15 year old appliance that would get the job done. The GE Dishwasher with Front Controls gets the job done and more. It has a nice large capacity, it is really quiet - so much in fact that a couple of times I have had to actually feel the dishwasher to make sure it was running. I trust GE to provide a good quality product at a competitive price and I am very happy with this product.

This GE dishwasher with front controls works great! First off it looks really nice and modern. I love that the controls are in the front. It just makes it so much easier. It is very spacious inside and I live the caddy for the utensils. My dishes and everything else came out spotless.

I got this dishwasher and got it installed. Was looking forward to a new dishwasher. But unfortunately It ended up being quite basic, although a good value for the money. And it is very loud when running the dishes. Overall a decent dishwasher just wish it was a whole lot quieter.

A simple and very good entry level dishwasher

Our old dishwasher finally stopped working so we decided to get this GE dishwasher with front controls as all our appliances are GE and we have been quite satisfied with the brand. We usually hand wash everything and only use our dishwasher once a week when we have people over and have a lot of dishes to wash so we decided to get the most simple model. This model definitely does not come with all the bell and whistles when it comes to programming but it is perfect for our needs. There are only 3 modes, one hour mode, the normal mode which last for about 90 minutes and the heavy duty mode. When it comes to performance, the dishwasher left everything very clean and dry after the cycle. All in all, we are satisfied with our new GE dishwasher. It is an entry level model and the material used cannot be compared to a high end model but it perfectly suits our needs and gets a 5 out of 5 score from us.

I received the GE dishwasher with front controls to review and boy was I happy, the dishwasher was easy to install roomy enough for big pots and pans, I love the front panel control so easy to use, I love GE products they have excellent quality product! Basic in features, Excellent in cleaning

This is a no frills dishwasher that does an impressive cleaning job. We replaced an older, high end dishwasher and this one cleans just as well. I do miss having features like "delay", however it's not necessary. It doesn't have much to speak of in terms of insulation so it is quite noisy, but again, not a deal breaker. It doesn't have finger print resistant stainless exterior, so be mindful that fingerprints will show. The cleaning capabilities make up for any features that it lacks. This is a great, basic dishwasher!

Bare bones

It does a good job of cleaning the dishes. It is a little small capacity in the baskets. I do feel like I'm running my dishwasher more compared to my previous one. It doesn't have any insulation around it so it's definitely noisier. But for it being bare bones with no bells and whistles, I does a good job cleaning.
